This brought me up short, I have to ask, in this day and age, how does one get mercury poisoning?

Great article, I am a wannabe journaler. I did try one of those highly structured journal books, but found its fixed structure was more frustrating than anything — I ended up leaving many of the headings blank or “nothing much” as the only entry and then stopped using it altogether.
