Perhaps the reason so many people report similar NDEs is that their brains are working in the same way under similar circumstances. It would be interesting to know what people from other spiritual traditions than Abrahamic experience (for example, Buddhism or Hinduism). All the NDEs I have heard about are Christian.

I've never been to Mexico, but I firmly believe it exists because of the evidence. I have experienced awe at nature, but I don't need to assign that to anything supernatural or spiritual.
