Only once have I been asked to do an exit interview, though, in other places, I have been able to explain my reasons for leaving in a non-confrontational way. In that one case, I asked what would happen to the interview and was told that it would be kept on file. I asked if anything would happen with the feedback and was told again that it would be kept on file. I refused the interview on the grounds that it would be a waste of my time and theirs.
