"I became a believer when I realized the reality of the fact that Jesus Christ was sent to the earth to be tortured and murdered as a sacrifice for our sins. If that is true, and I have faith that it is, then God is a just and loving God."
Stop, it, my brain hurts too much trying to understand the convolutions you must have to go through to believe any of that. None of it makes any sense at all. It is based on the wholly immoral idea that sacrifice, especially human sacrifice, can in any way be justified. Any god that demands a sacrifice is about as far from a just and loving god as it is possible to imagine. It's barbaric. It's illogical. If this is what Christians truly believe it's no wonder they are capable of atrocities, their god demands it of them. Uggh. Horrible
