Ee, banange*, this is one of the dumbest articles I have ever read on Medium. All languages evolve, People learn from those they associate with. If you hear young Londoners speak, it can be very hard to tell their ethnicity because they all tend to use a form of English that is much influenced by Caribbean and South Asian usage as well as the London dialect. And there is nothing wrong with that. You might as well say I shouldn't use the word "daps" to refer to plimsolls (the cheap sports shoe worn by children at school in the UK and elsewhere) because I am not Welsh. But I went to school in Wales and that was the word we all used, so I picked it up. And to show it's cross-cultural, the Welsh plural is "dapiau"
Having said that, I would feel pretty stupid saying "Yas Queen".
