1. Christianity has an answer, but with no proof and as I said in my post it just pushes the goalposts back. Atheism doesn't need to have an answer, it doesn't make any claims about where the universe or life came from. And it doesn't have to. "I don't know" is a perfectly reasonable position to take.

2. That's just another way of saying "I don't understand it, therefore God"

I don't believe there is a creator because there is absolutely no evidence for one. But I am not saying I believe there is no creator because making that claim without evidence would be ridiculous. All your arguments are, despite your protestations to the contrary, God of the gaps.
